More about NFL PLAY 60
Designed to tackle childhood obesity, NFL PLAY 60 brings together the NFL’s long-standing commitment of health and fitness with its expansive, international reach. Messaging strategies are combined with programming implemented at a grassroots level to make the next generation of youth the most active and healthy.
The NFL, along with its 32 clubs, promotes PLAY 60 through two in-school programs: the NFL PLAY 60 Challenge and Fuel Up to Play 60. In partnership with the American Heart Association, the NFL PLAY 60 Challenge provides teachers with tools to integrate fitness into daily classroom lessons through short activities that can be woven into existing lessons. Fuel Up to Play 60, a program created with the National Dairy Council, shows students how they can responsibly engage key adult leaders to create healthier school environments.
NFL PLAY 60 messaging is prominent during key events including, Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, Draft, Kickoff and Thanksgiving, giving it a stage watched by tens of millions. Not only does the NFL use its reach to build awareness around childhood obesity through PLAY 60, but it also uses the sport of football and its athletes to make “being active” fun and cool for kids.
