NYU announced as Official Research Partner for Beyond Sport United

During this year’s Beyond Sport United, and in collaboration with the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYUSPS), Beyond Sport will hold its second edition of 10Roundtables – an invite-only event, that will bring together some of the most influential figures from the worlds of sport, business, politics, and sport for development, to participate in ground-breaking conversations on the ways in which sport can play an innovative role in tackling many of the fundamental challenges facing communities around the globe. Former table host organizations include FIFA, EA Sports, TATA Communications, DELL, BT, Legal and General, Ernst & Young, Sport Court and more…

The concept is simple…10 Organizations host 10 Tables, each of which will explore one social issue where sport can play a role in acting as a proponent for change. Tables are carefully curated by the Beyond Sport team, and are composed of industry leaders whose experience relates to the specific topic chosen.

What’s more….through the collaboration with NYUSPS, Beyond Sport is joining forces with a leading global academic institution in exploring how sport can be used to create social change. As an "Official Research Partner" to 10Roundtables, NYUSPS has committed to working in conjunction with select table host organizations following the event to provide further research into how their specific social challenge can best be tackled through the vehicle of sport.

"As a thought leader in the ways sport can be employed to solve pressing issues within the global community, we are very enthused to be involved in this collaboration," asserted NYU School of Professional Studies Dean Dennis DiLorenzo. "We look forward to lending our expertise and our in-depth research capabilities to this critically important initiative, as well as to utilizing the insights we gain as a springboard for positive change."
