As part of ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian Awards and ESPYS, the Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award was established in 2019 to celebrate and honor U.S. high school and college students who – like legendary sport icon Billie Jean King – are committed to leadership and service. The inspiring young changemakers use the power of sport to make a lasting impact in their communities.
The 2025 Award included three national honorees and 20 regional recipients. Beyond Sport manages the application process and facilitates the selection phase of the program.
