Sport for Development Events 2020

The global pandemic caused many of our sectors spring and summer convenings to be postponed. However, as we know, the sport for development sector is an innovative place to be.

We're therefore excited to see an array of upcoming online events hosted by organizations from around the world for our global community to immerse itself in. Find ways to connect, educate and inspire yourself and your community! We've put it all together for you below.

• Sep 30 - Oct 7: LA84 Foundation and the Play Equity Fund

A series of online panel conversations with the people who power the movement - leaders in sport committed to closing the pay equity gap.

• Oct 3: Laureus Sport for Good Day

Youth, families, sports-based youth development programs, pro-sports teams celebrate the power of movement and sport to bring joy and healing.

• Oct 1-2: Sport Positive Summit 

Sports leaders from across the globe to support will explore how we can advance towards a low carbon future across sports operations and events, as well as the education and engagement of fans on climate change. 

• Oct 13-16: Project Play Summit

Leaders building healthy communities through sports across the US. 

• Oct 13-14: Green Sports Alliance Summit 

This year’s Summit, “Game On! The Future of Sports & Sustainability,” recognizes the past decade of growth in the green sports movement and looks towards the next ten years, while setting a new standard of excellence for sports and sustainability. 

And, make sure to join us as we host Beyond Sport House from Home which has gone fully virtual. It is designed to expand your knowledge and unearth solutions to drive social change through sport to reach your - and the world's - goals.
