The 36 nominated initiatives will be invited to the Beyond Sport Summit 2015, with their travel and accommodation provided, where the winners will be announced at the prestigious Awards Ceremony on the second day of the event.

The Sport for Education Award celebrates projects that use sport to increase the number of people accessing education or projects that use sport to increase the quality and relevance of education received.
ICE: I Can Excel After-School Program and Summer Dreams Camp, Figure Skating in Harlem, USA
Figure Skating in Harlem have introduced the sport of figure skating to girls of Harlem who face generational poverty and combine that with rigorous educational support and leadership training. The programme focuses specifically on girls of Harlem and works towards transforming their lives through figure skating and education.
SEED Project, Senegal
The SEED Project uses basketball as a motivational tool to engage youth in educational programs to address school retention and graduation rates in Senegal, and to develop the next generation of African leaders.
Memphis Inner City Rugby, USA
Memphis Inner City Rugby seeks to expand academic and athletic opportunity in low-income communities by bringing weekly college prep mentoring sessions, academic and behavior tracking systems, as well as world class coaching to a population seldom exposed to rugby. Through the power of a non-traditional sport, we aim to create non-traditional opportunities for travel, social development and higher education for underprivileged youth throughout Memphis.
