Sport Promoting Positive Mental Wellbeing

Head In The Game is proud to support 43 youth nonprofits who are using a wide array of sports to improve mental wellbeing outcomes for young people. 

While mental wellbeing challenges exist for all youth, Head in the Game is initially providing support to organizations serving communities in California, Illinois, Minnesota and New York (full list below). This is because U.S. Census data shows that while Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and others (LGBTQ+) populations in cities in these states have grown significantly over the last 10 years, resources have not grown at pace.

Rainbow Labs works to ensure the next generation of LGBTQ+ youth find their community, peers and safe spaces early in life while also gaining a sense of empowerment to propel them to bright futures.
