Introducing Short, Practical Sessions On Youth Mental Wellbeing

The latest virtual offerings from Beyond Sport’s Head In The Game provide bite-sized resources for supporting youth mental health

Beyond Sport’s Head In The Game program is expanding its Learning Community offerings in 2026 with the launch of a new monthly virtual series. The series is designed to support ongoing learning around youth mental wellbeing in and through sport.

Launched in 2023, Head In The Game equips those working with youth at the intersection of sport, development and social impact to lead with a mental wellbeing lens. Today, our Learning Community is home to more than 600 youth sports coaches, nonprofit organizations, sports and mental wellbeing experts, athletes and teams from across the sports sector.

“Head in the Game created a mindset shift. It’s no longer optional for us to think about wellbeing. It’s embedded in our DNA.”
— America SCORES Bay Area

These new “Munch & Learn” sessions are built for busy schedules – designed to listen to on a lunch break! Each 30-minute offering features a focused presentation grounded in youth mental wellbeing, followed by an optional Q&A for those who are able to stay and engage further.

The goal is simple: make it easier to keep learning, even during busy days.

Throughout the year, the Munch & Learns will explore a range of topics shaping youth wellbeing today, including inclusive coaching practices, identity-affirming sport spaces, caregiver engagement, youth with disabilities, nutrition and eating disorders, toxic masculinity and emerging community-based research and approaches. In addition to this monthly series, Head In The Game will continue to host quarterly roundtables for deeper discussion and peer exchange.

Save the dates: February 4, February 18, March 26, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 23, August 27, September 24, October 21, November 18 and December 9.

All sessions will be recorded and shared exclusively within the Head In The Game Learning Community, allowing members to learn live or on demand. Full details, including session dates and topics, will be shared directly with Learning Community members.
