As part of the 2025 Sports Humanitarian Awards and ESPYS, ESPN’s Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award will celebrate young leaders in the U.S. who – like Billie Jean King – are committed to leadership and service. Established in 2019, the Award will recognize three national and 20 regional honorees who are using sport to drive positive change in their communities. The Award is open for applications through May 19.
The three national honorees will receive either a $10,000 charitable grant to an eligible nonprofit aligned with their work or a one-time $10,000 college scholarship. The 20 regional honorees will receive a $2,500 charitable grant or a one-time $2,500 college scholarship.

2025 Honorees will receive incredible opportunities, including:
- Being honored during the ESPYS, with the three national honorees joining the incredible winners and honorees of other prestigious awards, including the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award. [For National Honorees only]
- Receive either a one-time college academic scholarship or a direct grant to an eligible nonprofit aligned with their work.
- Participate in yearlong experiential learning and development programs, including mentoring and leadership coaching, while engaging with senior leaders in the sport industry and attending sport-for-development workshops.
