The NBA’s San Antonio Spurs are taking advantage of this week’s NBA Paris Games 2025 to partner with Ligue 1 football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on a series of community initiatives designed to “bring people together and celebrate the role of sports in driving social change.”

The week of community-focused events includes educational opportunities and fan engagement celebrating the clubs’ shared values of leadership, innovation and global impact. The events intend to serve as a platform for the two organizations to learn from each other, inspire the next generation of leaders and strengthen community engagement efforts. As part of the partnership, executives from PSG and Spurs shared insights and problem-solving strategies in a collaborative learning experience designed to help both teams improve their impact on sports innovation, fan engagement and community outreach.

One of the core initiatives is the “Spurs Community Leadership Institute – Women in Sports, Paris.” This one-day summit, hosted in partnership with PSG, will bring together 50 women leaders from sports, governments and community organizations. The summit will focus on advancing women in sports and leadership development and exploring how sports can serve as a catalyst for positive social change.

The flagship initiative aligns with the organization’s global efforts to develop transformative leaders. PSG has similarly advanced its commitment to social impact through programs like “PSG For Communities,” which includes initiatives such as “Allez les Filles!” aimed at empowering young girls in sports. Together, these programs underscore how sports can uplift and inspire communities across the globe.

Additionally, Spurs and PSG unveiled a limited-edition collection that will run through Sunday. Available at PSG’s flagship stores in Paris, the activation celebrates the power of art, sports and fashion to connect communities in the city and beyond. “As a global organization, the Spurs are committed to building connections that go beyond the basketball court. Our shared commitment to leadership, innovation and community engagement with PSG will create lasting relationships and inspire the next generation of sports leaders and fans, both here in Paris and around the world,” said RC Buford, CEO of Spurs.

With initiatives focused on leadership, education and community development, the partnership between Spurs and PSG promises to leave a lasting legacy in both Paris and San Antonio.

As part of the NBA Paris Games, the Spurs also launched the Play Paris initiative this week in dedication to Victor Wembanyama’s hometown of Le Chesnay, encompassing seven youth basketball clinics and the construction of two new basketball courts. The program is built to inspire the next generation, provide access to play and create a lasting legacy within the community. Play Paris will continue to invest in creating safe and inclusive spaces for young athletes across the city. It will not only provide opportunities for physical activity but also develop leadership, growth and a sense of community among the next generation.
