The Luol Deng Foundation is a non-profit organisation that uses basketball as tool to give hope to those in Africa, USA and the UK. The organisation works in the three different countries follows the life journey of founder Luol Deng, with each region having helped him in a different but significant way to his path as becoming an NBA superstar.
Most recently the Luol Deng Foundation has built two outdoor court facility in Juba University named after the late Manute Bol to provide more opportunities for the South Sudan community through the power of basketball.
Luol mentions just how important this project has been to him and his Foundation:
“On the list of accomplished I’ve been blessed to achieve, this is very high on my list as one of the most memorable ones. The faces of smiling youth made it an instant success in my book. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
The facility will be used primarily for youth basketball development and local leagues.
